Dreams

I've been getting weird dreams lately and i feel quite disturbed by them. These couple of days, my mind's been drifting off into some daydreaming realm and sometimes, i forgot that i'm actually awake and not dreaming. The thing that scares me most, is that i rather be in the dreams than out of them, and so, i try desperately to return to them every night when i go to sleep.

It's so freaky.

DMC02

Love :)

I have such great friends

There's this sudden new craze in uploading class photos in Facebook and i hate Timothy now. He's been uploading hideous-looking photos of me and i am really really horrified. The least you can do, if its a group photo, is to blanko me out, rather than happily tagging me.

Gosh.

Yesterday, Jask, Gene and i went to meet Candy at her place. From afar, we spotted a black dog with a red collar, and he was really so damn cute. He was excitedly waving his tail, so vigorously such that his entire body was shaking in motion as well. I beckoned him over and he starting licking my hands and whatever body part that he could lick, and proceeded to attempt to jump and hug me. He almost killed me with his enthusiasm.

I was so freaked out that i climb onto the seat where Dee and Jask was sitting. Mind, it's not just the seat i climbed onto. It was the back of the seat and i stood there, hugging the wall screaming murder. The bastard dog attempted to climb the seat to continue licking me.

Meanwhile, Jask was whimpering in fear herself and Candy was happily laughing below me, totally ignoring my dangerous predicament. I hugged the damned wall for at least 5 minutes before Gene got the dog away from me.

Random note

Hahahahaha! We are such losers. Our NCT blog only has two sad entries from Timo while the other classes are blogging furiously.

I'm emo lor..

I'm supposed to be sleeping now as i'm dead exhausted. It's more or less one week before internship. I will really miss 02. I will really miss poly life. The three years spent in SP will be some of the most memorable years of my life. I gained and lost so much. I've learnt about so many new things and discovered my love for writing.

I've made friends that have been really wonderful and i'm gonna miss them terribly when we leave school. I can't imagine a day without messaging Faye, asking her where's the class at. I'll miss all the quibbling with Len over the most retarded stuff. Will miss Farah for her irritatingly LOUD voice and there's Dave Teng with his really funny actions. Mark, Drew, Seah, Hali, Oli, Angela, Jiaying, Fiona, Sharon, Nurul, Rubez, Shane. I'll miss being in class with all of them. At least i'll be seeing Timo quite often for the next three months. =D

Emo emo ah..........
Now's the time when you wish you could go all the way back to the start.

Couch Surfing

Couch Surfing is
a. To play host to visitors by letting them sleep in your couches.
b. To visit people and sleep on their couches.
c. To do either of the above without accepting or paying a single cent.

My mum mentioned this website to me - www.couchsurfing.com which is really cool.

How it works:

All you have to do is to register, fill up information about yourself and your couch. You can specify number of people you can host at your place, you can state your preferences (no smoking, only couples, dog lovers etc) There are also a few other information you have to fill in which includes: Your travel history, places you've stayed, places you'll be traveling to, photos of yourself and your couch, your personal information (age, occupation, interests, philosophy, etc)

There are several options for people who are hosting couches. You can state yes, maybe, no or meet up for coffee. The last option is for people who cannot play host to couchsurfers, but are interested to bring visitors around places in their country.

Couchsurfing experiences are free of charge, and you can meet people of different ages, ethnicity and race. You can save on hotel accomodations, your hosts can bring you to places that tourist guidebooks would never have, they can bring you to meet their friends, they can recommend you places and you can make friends wherever you go. Isn't it amazing!

Some hosts will require their visitors to buy duty free liquor and contribute to their stash of alcohol, others will ask for some exotic gifts from the visitor's country. As a host, besides providing free accomodations for couchsurfers, you can bring them around your country, buy them drinks of meals. It's all about giving and taking, being hospitable and being a good guest.

Of course, safety issues are a concern. The website itself has several privacy protection mechanisms in place. Users are recommended to write more about themselves to let others understand them better. Also, users can write references for people they've met couchsurfing and receive testimonials from others as well. There is also a system of verification whereby you either pay a small amount via credit card to verify your account, or be verified by a verified member.

I've just joined the network and couchsurf for places to bunk in when i go to bangkok (either with the class girls or with gene, if we decided to go again)

Everyone should go join, its an amazing community filled with goodwill and kind strangers. Anyway, add me as friends if you see me. My username is clarissse. Three S.

Bet you didn't know.

I was searching for disgusting food facts, when i came across these...

  • Through contact with door knobs, counter tops, and other daily objects your hand will come in contact with 15 penises a day.
  • It's summer time, and that means the pools are open! If you swim one hour in a public pool you will intake 1/12 liters of urine.
  • Need to use the bathroom? When a person pees, a small deposit of urine enters the mouth through the saliva glands.
  • We all like a man who gives a nice firm hand shake. However, you might want to think twice before returning the firm grip. Annually you will shake hands with 6 men who have recently masturbated and did not wash their hands.
YES. EEEEW!

I love jasmine.

I'm bored! Just got back from a BBQ with my secondary school classmates and i couldn't fall asleep. Ate too much i guess.

They bought 300 bucks worth of food for 12 people. That's the problem when the girls are outnumbered by the guys by 1:4. You tend to see hungry souls gathering at spots where hot BBQed food, especially sambal stingrays, is laid on. To make sure everyone (especially us girls) get their own share of food, Jask and the guys bought a huge amount of everything.

It was pretty fun but nothing special as i see these guys practically everyday in SP. Lol! It's just a couple of them that i haven't met for quite some time.

Am waiting for Candy to post up the photos she took to steal them from her =P

This is hilarious.

This is hilarious. Remember the 1982 Micheal Jackson's MV - Micheal Jackson Thriller? If there's anything hollywood can do, bollywood can do too. To make the whole thing even more hilarious, some idiot went and added on lyrics of how the song would sound in english. Freaking funny!

Cookies is sick.

Cookies has been sick for some time. First, she started itching and scratching. Then, her hair started coming off in clumps. Everyday, she'll just sit in a corner and stare at all of us grumpily. Gene and i brought her to the vet the other day and the vet had to give her an injection for the itch. I almost cried as i held her and watched her stiffened and tried to claw her way from the needle as it went into her.

Following that, she had to take pills for a month. Somehow, she's gotten so smart that she knows we're going to give her the daily meds and tried running away from us. When we finally caught her, she freezes up and refuse to open her mouth. Simply stares at you with that panicky, zombified look. It's so cute and heartwrenching at the same time.

We were supposed to apply cream on her balding spots, but she keeps licking them off and afterwards, loses her appetite due to the aftertaste.

She's so skinny now, but she's getting better. I've been spoiling her with good food and her hair is growing back. She'll be back to her healthy, happy self soon. =)

Roaches make me whimper =(

I hate cockroaches.

I hate the way they look, the way they always run towards you especially when you are afraid of them and i hate those that fly. Most importantly, i hate it to admit that i am reduced to a quivering mass by these beastly little things.

I used to laugh at friends (especially guys) who scream when they see roaches. I love to chase after the little buggers with rolled-up papers and smack them till life juices out from them. Until the day one ran over my foot and attempted to climb up my leg. As ridiculous as it sounds, i'm scared of cockroaches since.

All my friends are scared of cockroaches too =D

Most people know, Jask likes to wear low cleavage tops and no matter what we say, she adamantly refuse to stop buying low cleavage tops, claiming they weren't low when she bought them. (Secretly, she wants to seduce Hakim.) So one day, as she's smoking, a cockroach flew into her bra.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

And there's Hakim, who was walking when he noticed there's a brown, flying thing coming straight at him. It look him quite some time and by the time he realised what it was, it was inches from his face and he fell down, went into fits and spasms while foaming at the mouth. Haha, no lah, the latter is exaggerated.

The whole point of this, is to show how retarded and stupid we are fearing roaches. We could just step on it and piack, it dies. So i've decided to face my fear. I've already taken my first step, by killing a roach last night. But i didn't dare to pick it up and throw it away. Gene had to do it for me and afterwards, as i was cooking my instant noodle, i kept having visions that the cockroach was crawling out from the dustbin. Ughh.

Which reminds me, I went to watch Resident Evil: Extinction last night without any idea that it was about zombies. I've never paid much attention to them and have never paid to watch them either. After the excruciating one and a half hour, i can declare that i have found a genre of movie that i hate.

I HATE ZOMBIE FLICKS. (Especially the zombified dogs in RE.E)

I lost me frog.

Came across this website.

Extremely retarded. My kind of thing =D

Came here to blog since I was feeling restless and Gene was too tired to entertain me (plus he's got work tomorrow). I had to seek my entertainment elsewhere, since i am banned from 1. Drawing him with markers 2. Painting his nails in a myriad of colours 3. Drawing pictures of pigs and sticking them on him. I'll love to sulk and insists that he entertains me and make me happy, but he's asleep even before i could sulk.

I should marry his computer instead.

Logged on in to my email and i saw the link to NCT class blog. Timothy has already left his mark there! Confirm guarantee chop 100% he'll get full marks for class participation! We've been talking a lot about technology in class and i am quite uncomfortable in NCT (New Communication Technology) because i am so not tech-savvy. I've been blogging for four years now and i still can't understand what RSS is. I know its Really Simple Syndication and yeah, that's the point.

I am not interested in tech stuff basically, all the gadgets and softwares and what have you. Technology does makes life easier but it does not improve the quality of life. I see people plugged into MP3/4s, eyes glued to their PSPs, hands busy with their phones and i see them spending less time with PEOPLE. Kids nowadays are listening to MP3s while on the train with their parents or making a fool out of themselves by becoming transport DJs. Whatever happened to communication? And you see the other kids, begging for PSPs, for Xbox, and their sole form of interaction with other kids is to game online together. What happened to clean wholesome fun with family and friends?

I still love my books and my boardgames very much.

I can't find the words to express how i feel. We watched Minority Report in class the other day. In case you haven't watched it, the story is about the future, about cars that need no drivers, videos that come in 3D format and a precrime unit whereby crimes are predicted before they are committed. I commented that the world in the movie was cold and soul-less. Everything was in grey, in white and in black. The cars were of the same colour, the roads were all grey, people all wore black, the technology, the advertisements, the windows, the chairs, the walls, everything! Everything was metallic and.. metallic.

I would love to be sitting next to a fireplace, with a huge dog by my side, a cat on the rug, a good novel in my hands and snuggling up next to a loved one. I would imagine the house to be made of brick and wood, to be filled with the smell of teak and cedar, to have lovely smells of baking coming from the kitchen, herbs in the garden, flowers on the table.

I am sitting on a sofa made of leather or vinyl, whatever is more posh and expensive. A robotic dog is snoring by my side, i have a statue of a cat carved and made by the latest technology resting on my table, which by the way, serves as a computer, music player, gaming console and massager at the same time. There's a robot cooking and he is pouring a pre-mix packet into a tiny machine known as the kitchen, which can multi-task. It can cook, bake, steam, clean all at the same time. No grease, no smoke, no lingering fragrance of food in the air. I have a small half-inch PDA in my hand which holds unlimited amount of PDFed novels. There is a small button on the wall and upon pressing it, it releases a flower fragrance. My partner is away on business but his 3d format 2nd self is snoring on the bed.

You can see why i'm so against technology.

But my biasness aside, i can see the importance of technology and i understand that there is no way to avoid it. As much as i dislike it, i have to learn and understand it, especially when i'll be working in the media industry after i graduate.

And so, recommended by Timothy, a really cool piece of technology coming into our lives soon. Microsoft surface - www.microsoft.com/surface/ (I wonder how do people with no hands use it.)

P/s: If you have managed to find this blog, good for you! You are one tech savvy person!

What a great start.

Agh! I still have writer's block!!!

I was hoping that by opening a new blog and getting a fresh start in blogging, in a new and less restrictive virtual environment, i'll be able to unblock and pen something down.... it's not working!

To think that i spent the entire night yesterday designing and setting this up, only to get a massive headache today and...

ARGH!!!

Defeats the purpose!
